The International Alliance for Peace and Development issues a study on Armed conflicts and its impact on sustainable development
And calls for the need to establish safe havens for citizens of the conflicting countries
This morning, the International Alliance for Peace and Development issued a study with the title of “Armed conflicts and its impact on sustainable development”, As the Alliance is greatly interested in the armed conflicts that are taking place in several regions around the world, whether they are non-international armed conflicts or international armed conflicts and the impact of such conflicts on Human rights and achieving the goals of sustainable development.
The study examined and analyzed many conflicts and armed conflicts, such as the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the conflict in Ukraine, Kashmir and the Nagorno-Karabakh region, as well as the conflict in Libya, Iraq, Syria and other conflicting countries. The study highlighted the impact of such conflicts on the achievement of sustainable development. The conflict has profoundly affected education, nutrition, the economy, life expectancy and child mortality. The study has shown a strong relationship between poverty and armed conflicts.
In this study, the International Alliance for Peace and Development called for the settlement of conflicts through mediation and deeper interventions by the international community. It also recommended the establishment of safe havens for citizens of the conflicting countries. it stressed that the international community should play a more positive role in eliminating armed groups.
