On December 20 each year , the world celebrates International Human Solidarity Day which In the Millennium Declaration world leaders identified Solidarity as one of the fundamental values essential to international relations in the twenty-first century and emphasized that “Global challenges must be managed in a way that distributes the costs and burdens fairly in accordance with basic principles of equity and social justice. Those who suffer or who benefit least deserve help from those who benefit most.” In the context of globalization and the challenge of growing inequality, the strengthening of international solidarity and cooperation is indispensable for the realization of the Millennium Development Goal
In this day IADP asserts on the importance of promoting human and social development in developing countries and promoting solidarity for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals including poverty eradication, this day is considered to remind governments to respect their commitments to international agreements
On this day the International Alliance asserts that we have to work together to make the world a better place for everyone, The IAPD also condemns human rights violations in Syria, Yemen, and Myanmar that undermine the real applying of the concept of human solidarity, and therefore IAPD calls on that human rights violations in these areas should be stopped
The International Alliance calls on all states, United Nations agencies, other international organizations and non-governmental organizations to integrate the right of peoples and individuals to international solidarity into the mainstream of their activities
